 2. Club Flying members only may act as pilot in Command unless otherwise authorised in writing by the Committee.

 3. Club aircraft to be used in private category only unless otherwise authorised by the Committee.  Commercial flights may only be undertaken by pilots operating under an Air Operators Certificate, whose holder has been authorised in writing by the Committee.

 4. The Club will appoint a nominated Booking Officer for its aircraft.

Flying Members must provide the Booking Officer with a copy of pilot’s licence, current medical certificate, BFR, or IR issue or renewal, and ratings eg. constant speed, aerobatic, etc., and updated copies when applicable.

 5. Flight Recency & Proficiency

From our flight records, a listing of flights in club aircraft will be maintained for each member.

Members are deemed current in our aircraft if they’ve done 3 take-offs and landings in that aircraft in the 90 days prior to any proposed flight.  Additionally, for those who have been current in CEV within the previous 12 months, currency in our CT 4 DPV will also provide recency approval for CEV.  In other circumstances, a check flight with a flying school approved by the Club is required.  Alternatively, for those who believe their flying should satisfy the Club recency requirement, approval from the Club Captain or his designated alternate, or a recommendation from a flying school is required.  Such approved flying schools are:

Aero Dynamic Flight Academy, (ADFA) MC

 Fogarty’s Aviation Academy, (Fogarty’s) MC

 Queensland Aviation Services CDR

Initial check in our CT4 can be undertaken with ADFA or Fogarty’s. Fogarty’s are able to offer aerobatic training and endorsements.  Members so flight checked must meet the 90 day recency requirement as above in DPV,  or subject to a further check by one of the flying schools, the Club Captain, or the Captain’s designated alternate.

NOTE;  For night flights, CAO 40.2.2 requires at least 1 take off and landing at night within the last 6 months, together with at least 1 night flight of at least 1 hour duration either in command, under supervision, or dual (or a flight review or test at night).

 6. New flying Members will be subject to a check flight with one of the flying                               school’s nominated in the Rule 5 above.

 7. Flight Authorisation

All bookings are to be made via the Booking Program on the internet accessible via www.maroochyaeroclub.com.au web site. Unless the currency and validity of the members medical and BFR/IFR records are up to date with the club then the members will not be able to access the booking program.  It is the obligation of the members  to keep the club records correct by notifying the Club Captain.

Any disagreement in regard to flight authorisation to be directed to the Club Captain who has responsibility for this process.

 8. Daily inspections shall be conducted land the Maintenance Release signed by the pilot in command, including licence number.  After the last flight on any day, air switch reading, daily flight time, and total time shall be entered on the Maintenance Release by the last pilot.
